Step 1: Money

The first topic that comes to mind is money. In current society, it is pretty much everything.  Money to survive, and then beyond that money goes towards all the 'fun' things we choose to do.  Not many of us are self sufficient enough to go without money, and this is especially true in more economically developed locations.

But the problem is, with money comes division, and with division comes tension between humans.  Those who are better off like to show it off, and those who survive on less look down on those who abuse their funds.  Different classes create division, and there is no posivite. What is the good of a small percentage of people living in luxury, when there are others who can hardly afford to live at all?  This balance needs to be corrected.

The proposition here is then, abandon money as a way of survival.  Imagine this.

Nobody has money, jobs do not earn you money, money does not buy you anything.  It just does not exist!
> But if nobody had any money, how would anyone eat? Do you expect us to all become self sufficient and live, with poor healthcare and no outlet for our free time? If we cannot pay for things we like, what would we do?

Well the answer to that would be a complete reform of how humans work together as a group. One look at a beehive shows that even insects, who live on instinct mainly with vastly smaller brains than ours, can live much more harmoniously as a community than we have managed on any large scale.

Firstly, JOBS.  Even without money, people would still need to work to keep living. But without being paid, you would have to earn something else for your valuable time.  And here, in my proposed idea, you would earn rights.  The right to food, and for healthcare.  Rights to clean clothes every day, the right to wash, and access to a bed.  Every job would be worth the same 'wage' in this way.  This is a greatly freeing prospect! It means that anyone would be able to do the job they have always wanted to with no worries about the possiblity of a low wage.  It would be entirely up to the individual what they specialise in.

Since everyone would be required to work, there would be no wasted money going to support those who are unemployed.  With everyone working on their own favourite area, with the option to switch if they decide it is not right for them, then i believe work would not been seen as such a chore any more.  The amount of hours per week could also be lowered, so that full time hours for everyone were, say, 25 per week.
Many jobs would be available, but they would only exist if they were really needed.  This would mean that some jobs no longer existed.  Another post will include a list of jobs that I consider vital to group survival, working together.

The 5 basic requirements for survival (food/water, somewhere to sleep, healthcare, clothing and cleaning facilities) would be given on completion of a full week of work.  As such, you would work this week, and the next week your basic needs would be met as a result.

There is a lot of detail to go into on this topic, and a lot of it interlinks into others such as how food would be dispersed, and how anyone would know if you'd worked full time.  As I progress through the other steps, it should all fit together and make sense.

Introduction to the Society

CREATING CHANGE

Change is not easy.  In almost all situations, it is easier to start from a blank page than it is to change what already exists.  Sometimes, change is easier, such as editing a manuscript, or walking a different way to work.  But changes such as getting a new job, correcting a mistake you have made on a painting, or adjusting your attitude to the people around you are much harder to impliment.  If we could start again, it would be easier.  Getting a new job feels more urgent if you come from unemployment and you are determined to gain funds. If you have a job already many people lose the motivation to climb to the next rung, and end up not progressing anywhere.

But these situations aside, the change we are looking at here is one of the entire society we live in.  We look at the ways that our society could be changed, with much time and effort.  After this, we regard the ways that our society could reach the -same- level, but by starting from scratch.  The difference between the two is the real focus, and hopefully the real eye-opener.

In all of the ideas presented on this site, the inspiration will have come from various areas of life, and of the world.  The fundamentals come from the answer to a simple question: the real _reason_ why we are here, alive, on this earth.  I doubt anyone will have a definitive, unwavering answer anytime soon, but there are some suggested answers here which make the most logical and rational sense to me.  These answers are the backbone behind the Society plan as a whole, and are the key to understanding the method behind the 'madness' that will be some of the future posts.

I only ask that you, the reader, take the information here with an open mind, and be aware that you are not in any way obliged to read this.  There are many internet pages, and your time is valuable.

That said, I still hope you enjoy it.
